Rashid Kassem Expects Tough Challenge In Reynaldo Mora June 20th In Copenhagen

Rashid Kassem (8-0, 5 KOs) faces Reynaldo Mora (7-1-1, 4 KOs) at the Nordic Fight Night at the Ballerup Super Arena in Copenhagen on June 20, and is expecting a tough test from the Nicaraguan contender.

“I’m looking forward to this fight,” said the 24-year-old Kassem, who returns following a knockout win over Anto Nakic in Copenhagen last May.

“Mora is a good fighter with a good record. This is exactly the type of fight I need at this stage of my career. I want tougher and tougher tests and bigger and bigger challenges.

“I plan to start the fight fast and put the pressure on Mora, however I will try to be a little more measured than I was in my last fight. I know I say this every time, so let’s see if I can stick to the plan, as I’m eager to show everybody what I can do and that I’m one to watch for the future. What I can guarantee is an entertaining performance as always!”

In the evening’s main event Patrick Nielsen (25-1, 12 KOs) faces Ghanaian Charles Adamu (23-6, 17 KOs) in a defence of his WBA International Super Middleweight title, while featherweight talent Dennis Ceylan (14-0-1, 7 KOs) takes on Sergio Prado (11-4-1, 4 KOs). Full details of the undercard will be announced shortly.

Danish Lightweight Rashid Kassem Faces Anto Nakic May 2 in Copenhagen

Danish lightweight Rashid Kassem (7-0-0, 4 KOs) will face Anto Nakic (2-3-0, 1 KO) on May 2 at Frederiksberg-Hallerne in Copenhagen.

Kassem last fought in February in Frederikshavn, where he put in an impressive performance, knocking out Gyula Tallosi in the second round. Next up for the 23 year-old is the Croatian Nakic.

“He is someone I should beat, and someone I will beat,” said Kassem. ‘’I’m not underestimating him as you never know in boxing, but I’m in good shape and I intend to deliver the goods as usual. It’s no secret that I want to make bigger fights but I have to take it step by step.”

Kassem joins an action-packed show in Copenhagen. Micki Nielsen defends his WBC International Cruiserweight title against undefeated American Junior Anthony Wright, while the ‘Swedish Princess’ Klara Svensson challenges Erica Anabella Farias for the WBC Female World Light Welterweight crown.

Rashid ’The Dream’ Kassem (5-0-0, 3 KOs) faces Kakhaber Avetisian (36-26-1, 18 KOs) on December 13 at the Albertslund MusikTeatret in Copenhagen.

“It’s almost hard to describe how much I am looking forward to getting back in the ring,” said Kassem. “This is my first fight since April and I have lot I want to prove.”

Kakhaber Avetisian boxed at the same show as Kassem in Esbjerg in April. Here the Georgian somewhat surprisingly defeated the Norwegian Andreas Evensen on points.

“I have seen the fight on video, and I have no doubt that I can do a better job than Evensen,” said Kassem, who is eager to impress the crowd in Albertslund.

“All I need right now is to get back in action and showcase myself on the big stage where I belong.”
