Southern California has always been an underrated hot bed for boxing talent. In years past Forum Boxing was an outlet to showcase young talent, putting on fight cards at legendary venues such as: The Great Western Forum, The Grand Olympic Auditorium and the Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim.

From the days of “Bazooka” Limon, Chu Chu Castillo, Bobby Chacon and Danny “Little Red” Lopez to the days of Marco Antonio Barrera, Juan Manuel Marquez, “Chicanito” Hernandez and “Too Sharp” Johnson, boxing fans saw legends in action. With Forum Boxing riding into the sunset in the late 90’s, so did the outlet to showcase young, up and coming talent in Southern California.

The latino market has always been the backbone for boxing. The fans are very loyal, passionate and appreciative, particularly in So-Cal, therefore it is a breath of fresh air for these fans that Golden Boy Promotions has brought that outlet back through their L.A. Fight Club. It’s a chance to once again showcase the rich hot bed of talent in Southern California.

Golden Boy Promotions has a young stable of promising talent such as Julian Ramirez, Diego De La Hoya, Joseph Diaz and Christian Gonzalez.. L.A. Fight Club debuted on 03/06/15 to a packed, electric house at the Belasco Theater and they were treated to a great night of boxing performances by Joseph Diaz and Christian Gonzalez. L.A. Fight Club has a great future ahead of itself and some of these up and coming prospects of today are the superstars of tomorrow.
