Clock Is Ticking for the Return of Zab Judah Nov. 13th. Joseph Agbeko & Ava Knight Also Featured.

LAS VEGAS – On Friday, November 13, the D Las Vegas, in association with Greg Cohen Promotions, Roy Jones Jr. Boxing Promotions and Roy Englebrecht’s Promotions in association with David Schuster’s Winner Take All Productions, will proudly present Super Showdown at the DLVEC, a night of world-class professional boxing at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center and live on CBS Sports Network.
 
Headlining this stacked night of fights will be five-time world champion and former Undisputed World Welterweight Champion Zab “Super” Judah (42-9, 29 KOs) of Brooklyn, New York, in the 10-round main event. Former world champion Juan Carlos Salgado (26-5-1, 16 KOs) will take on Judah in this fight. Salgado won the WBA World Super Featherweight Title via first round knockout over current WBC World Champion Jorge Linares.
 
Also scheduled for appearances in separate televised supporting bouts will be former two-time world bantamweight champion Joseph “King Kong” Agbeko (30-5, 23 KOs) of the Bronx via Accra, Ghana; undefeated Las Vegas super lightweight Jesus “Chuy” Gutierrez (14-0-1, 4 KOs); and two-time female world champion Ava “Lady of Boxing” Knight (13-2-3, 5 KOs) of Chico, California.

37-year-old Zab Judah will be making his first appearance under the new GCP co-promotional banner. The southpaw Judah won the undisputed welterweight championship in February 2005 with a ninth-round stoppage of Cory Spinks.  Judah won his first title, the IBF Light Welterweight Championship in January 1999 with a fourth-round knockout over Wilfredo Negron.
 
35-year-old Joseph Agbeko held the IBF Bantamweight Championship from 2007 to 2009, making two successful defenses before losing and regaining it from Colombia’s Yonnhy Perez. Fighting as a professional since 1998, Agbeko has also held the Commonwealth (British Empire) Bantamweight, WBF Bantamweight, African Boxing Union Bantamweight and Ghanaian Bantamweight Championships.
 
A pro since 2010, the unbeaten Gutierrez is a fan favorite for his exciting style. He has already won the WBC United States (USNBC) lightweight title as a professional. The 26-year-old will be looking to continue his steady ascent up the ladder with an impressive victory.
 
27-year-old Ava Knight is a former IBF and WBC World female flyweight Champion. Knight made three successful defenses of her WBC belt. She also fought to a draw for the WBO World female bantamweight Championship in 2011 and has held the WBC International female flyweight and WBC Silver female flyweight Championships as well.

Zab Judah Headlines The Space at Westbury on Sept. 10

On Thursday, September 10, promoter Greg Cohen of Greg Cohen Promotions and Super Judah Promotions, in association with GH3 Promotions and David Schuster’s Winner Take All Productions, will continue GCP’s “Championship Boxing” series with a world-class event, once again at The Space at Westbury in Westbury, New York.
 
In the night’s 10-round super lightweight main event, five-time world champion and former Undisputed World Welterweight Champion Zab “Super” Judah (42-9, 29 KOs) of Brooklyn, New York, will face Florida, via Barranquilla, Colombia’s Hevinson Herrera (18-11-1, 12 KOs).
 
This will be Judah’s first fight under his new GCP co-promotional banner. The charismatic former champion will be looking to get back into the mix of the world’s best in the division with an impressive victory.   
 
In the co-main event, women’s multiple-time world champion Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano (24-1, 18 KOs) of Brooklyn will face South Carolina’s Angel Gladney (8-11, 6 KOs) in a lightweight six-rounder.

And in the main supporting bouts, Queens, New York’s “Mean” Joe Greene (26-1, 17 KOs) continues his assault on the middleweight division with his second bout in two months, this one a six-round super middleweight battle vs. TBA.
 
Also, popular New York junior middleweight Tommy “The Razor” Rainone (23-6, 5 KOs) will go six rounds against Mexico’s Francisco Javier Reza (14-14, 11 KOs); while notable contender Jesus “Chuy” Gutierrez (13-0-1, 4 KOs) of Las Vegas will go six in the super lightweight division against TBA.   
 
On the undercard, Miami’s Steve Geffrard (12-2, 7 KOs) will look to continue his 12-fight winning streak against Newark’s Cory Cummings (18-9, 13 KOs) in a light heavyweight 8-rounder; New York’s Dave Meloni (3-1, 1 KO) will take on Cincinatti’s 17-fight veteran Micah Branch in a super featherweight four; undefeated super featherweight Bienvenido Diaz (2-0, 2 KOs) of Prospect Park, New Jersey, via the Dominican will face Benjamin Burgos (2-12) of Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania, over four or less rounds; and Philadelphia’s Samuel Teah (6-1, 2 KOs) will go four super lightweight rounds against Newark’s Rashad Bogar (4-­5-1, 2 KOs).

Greg Cohen Inks Zab Judah to Co-Promotional Agreement

Greg Cohen of Greg Cohen Promotions proudly announces the signing of  five-time world champion and former Undisputed World Welterweight Champion Zab “Super” Judah (42-9, 29 KOs) of Brooklyn, New York, to a co-promotional agreement, along with Judah’s Super Judah Promotions.
 
Judah, 37, will compete in the super lightweight division with an eye toward returning to his elite status in boxing.
 
His first appearance under the new promotional banner will be in September, on a GCP televised card.
 
“I am overjoyed to be adding a superstar of Zab’s caliber to my promotional roster,” said Greg Cohen. “Zab has been in with every great fighter of this era and beaten many of them. He is a Brooklyn boxing legend and still a force to be reckoned with at 140 lbs.”
